What is Your Warranty for Pool Resurfacing?

WarrantyOne of the more common questions when it comes to the finish of a pool, whether it’s a new pool or a refinished pool, is what kind of warranty do you offer.  I’m very happy to say that we use Pebble Tec brand refinishing and Pebble Tec offers a lifetime warranty.

A Pebble Tec Authorized Installer
Pebble Tec is a quality brand with a very durable product.  They also require that anyone who uses Pebble Tec be an authorized installer.  Becoming an authorized installer isn’t just a matter of signing up, either.  All your people have to be trained to apply it and they will do spot checks where they will come back 2 or 3 times during the year.  They will actually put a guy on your crew and he’ll go work with all your crews that are installing to it make sure that everyone is consistent and doing it the same.

In addition to making sure the people installing the finish are qualified, Pebble Tec also stands behind their warranty themselves.  So, if anything were to happen to Grand Vista Pools, Pebble Tec would still be able to step in and take care of the warranty issue.

Making a Warranty Claim
If there was an issue with the refinish, the customer could just call me and I’ll get in touch with Pebble Tec to get them out there to look at it.  That said, it should be noted that we’ve never had a legitimate warranty claim in the 100’s of Pebble Tec jobs that we’ve had.  Any time we’ve gotten a call from someone saying they had a rust spot, it was because a screw fell out of their screen or a child left a toy in the pool and it rusted.  I’ve never actually had a rust spot or a problem with Pebble Tec where it came apart or didn’t stick.
