Spring – and the Tampa Swimming Pool Season – Is Here!

Spring has arrived!

The weather is warming up and many Tampa Bay area students have been enjoying their spring breaks over the last couple of weeks.

Spring break marks the unofficial start of the swimming season in the Tampa Bay area, which means many children have been or are about to jump into their Tampa swimming pool for the first time this year.  (Of course, if you have a solar heater perhaps you've been enjoying your pool for several weeks.)

If you are thinking about taking your first swim of the season, before doing so, take the time to test the water quality and add anything necessary to get your chemical levels safe for swimming and for the longevity of your swimming pool.

We also recommend safety checks around the pool:

  • Inspect and fix any loose tile, coping or stones.
  • Inspect and fix any ladders or diving boards.
  • Check all plastic in and near the pool - water jets, intake covers, light covers, etc.  Replace anything that is cracked or has a sharp edge.
Do you need to resurface or remodel?
While you are doing your safety check, keep an eye out for cracks, chips, and other indicators that it may be time to resurface your pool. If you have had your pool for several years and never resurfaced it or remodeled, it may be time. You can fix any damage your pool has suffered over the years and spruce up the appearance of your pool and deck. You can even add new features like a sundeck, spa add-on, or water feature.

Then take the plunge into your Tampa swimming pool and enjoy the Florida lifestyle!

Here’s to a season of beautiful Florida weather, outdoor fun with friends and family, and relaxation!
