A lot of people want their backyard swimming pool to exemplify their own personal style. These days there are lots of ways to customize a pool.
Here are 6 ways you can make your swimming pool uniquely you!
1) Kick a friend’s pool up a notch! Perhaps you like a friend’s pool, but you also want your pool to be unique. You could use the general shape of your friend’s pool and make your own with a few changes. For example, you could add a hot tub. Or if your friend already has one, just move it to another side of the pool for a fresh look. You could also change the elevation with a raised pool deck.
2) Shape Up! You could start with an existing pool shape, and make it uniquely yours by changing some of the angles and curves of the pool. A few small changes can make a significant difference to the overall appearance.
3) Lighten up! Lighting can also add unique character to your pool. You could add underwater lights, border lights or even floating lights. Lighting can also increase the amount of time you spend in your pool, making it a popular evening destination.
4) Fire it up! To make your pool even more amazing, add fire or water features. There are many options available such as a fire bowl, for ambiance or excitement. You could also add waterfalls, fountains or sprays. A look that is really hot right now is a rock waterfall. It gives a natural look to any pool.
5) Change the context A different surface around the pool could give your pool its own unique style. The color and pattern of the pavers contributes to the uniqueness of your pool. Landscaping and shade areas can also be incorporated to make a unique swimming pool look.
6) Contact Grand Vista Pools. We at Grand Vista Pools know how to design custom swimming pools. In our decades of pool building, we have seen (and built) it all. We take the time to get to know our clients, and as a result we can suggest a unique combination of features that result in a one-of-a-kind pool that exhibits your unique personality.
One of the most unique pools we built was for a client who wanted a floating boulder in the middle of their pool. It was a large pool, so we placed a column in the deep end and then lowered a large boulder onto it. The customer wanted his children to be able to jump off the boulder, so we also built a bench around the column so the children had a way to climb onto the boulder. It also serves as a great place for adults to sit on out in the deep end.
We’d love to help you design your own unique pool. Contact us today at Grand Vista Pools!
