Once you make the decision to install a pool in your backyard, you will want to find a company with a swimming pool installation process that you feel comfortable with. During the construction process your backyard is going to undergo a number of changes and at times will look to be a mess! You want to trust that your pool installer has a timeline in place, that everything you see is happening just as it’s supposed to, and can get you from a messy backyard to a fantastic looking pool as soon as possible!
Communication is Key
At Grand Vista Pools, we know that communication with our clients is very important. We want you to know what is happening and what will be happening next. This is why we created a packet which will tell you the details about each step in the pool building process.
In general, most pool construction projects follow a similar format.
- Initial Appointment: At our initial appointment with a client we will spend time measuring the backyard, conducting a property survey to determine the possible size of the pool, and then discuss ideas for size, shape and features.
- Design and Proposal: After this meeting, we will create the drawing and full proposal.
- Sign Some Paperwork
- Choose Colors, Pavers, and Finish: Once this paperwork is signed, our client will chose their colors, pavers and Pebble Tec finish.
- Permits: At this point we will also submit the required drawings and forms to the county for the permit. It typically takes 30 days to receive approval on a permit.
Once the permit is received, the real mess begins! But don't worry because we will guide you through each step and remember, your beautiful pool is only weeks away at this point!
- Clear the Yard and Dig the Pool: The first thing we will do is clear the yard and dig the pool.
- Add Rebar: We then install the steel rebar cage.
- Inspection: At this point we will need an inspection before we can continue.
- Concrete, Plumbing, Electrical: Once the inspection is passed we will pour the concrete and install the underground plumbing and electrical work.
- Tile and Edging: Then we work on the tile and edging around the pool.
- Install the Pavers: Next, we’ll install either the deck or pavers, whichever you have chosen.
- Screen and Finish: Finally, we work on the screen enclosure and the Pebble Tec finish.
