Land O' Lakes is an unincorporated community in south-central Pasco County, about 20 miles due north of downtown Tampa. The area was originally know as Ehren, but in 1949 the name was suggested at a community meeting, and in 1950 the Ehren post office was renamed Land O' Lakes.
The area has grown rapidly in recent decades as Tampa's suburbs have expanded. Population grew from 7,800 in 1990 to 21,000 in 2000, and up to 31,000 by 2010.
