Hosting a Halloween party this year? Or maybe you'd like to do something fun and creative with your family? Make this Halloween memorable by decorating your pool for the holiday. Here are some ideas:
1) Dry Ice – Dry ice can be placed in a swimming pool to give it a spooky, foggy look. Dry ice will burn skin. So, make sure you wear gloves and are very careful when handling it, and don't allow swimmers in the pool while there's dry ice in it.
2) Bubbles – You can add laundry soap to create a bubbly foam on the surface of your pool. Note that his will affect the chemical balance in the pool, so afterwards be sure to check the chemical levels and make adjustments to get everything back in balance.
3) Blood in the water – Swimming pool dye can be used to temporarily turn a pool blood red. It’s non-toxic and won’t stain your pool. This is not true of all dyes, though, so make sure the dye you use is specifically labelled swimming pool dye.
4) Floating Pumpkins – Probably the easiest way to decorate your swimming pool for Halloween is to float some plastic pumpkins on the surface.
5) Floating zombies, skeletons, etc – Even zombies enjoy a nice relaxing dip in the pool every once in a while. Get your favorite dead (or undead) characters and float them in your pool, on inner tubes or on inflatable rafts. .
